LANDR combines automated mastering and digital distribution for independent musicians and producers. Upload a finished mix, compare mastering options and prepare a release for streaming services. Its Studio subscription bundles these services with samples, plugins, collaboration tools and music courses.

From mix to release

The online mastering service analyses an uploaded track and creates a processed version you can preview. Try different styles and loudness settings, then use volume matching to compare the master against the original without simply favouring the louder version.

Distribution is a separate release process. A mastered file still needs artwork, metadata and the rights required for the recording and any samples or cover song.

Browser, mobile or inside your DAW

Online mastering runs in a browser. LANDR also offers iOS and Android apps for uploading tracks, previewing masters and accessing the synced library.

The LANDR Mastering Plugin processes audio inside a compatible DAW. It supports VST3, AU and AAX on macOS, and VST3 and AAX on 64-bit Windows. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs are supported. Check the plugin's current system requirements and your host before buying. Other plugins in a Studio bundle have their own compatibility requirements.

Plans and buying considerations

LANDR Studio is a recurring subscription with Essentials, Standard and Pro tiers. The mastering format allowance and plugin edition vary by tier. Essentials includes MP3 mastering, while Standard and Pro add WAV and HD WAV downloads. Standard includes Mastering Plugin SE and Pro includes Mastering Plugin Pro. Compare the current sample allowance, included plugins and distribution terms before choosing.

Free online mastering previews let you assess a track, but downloading a full master requires a purchase or paid plan. Individual online masters can be bought separately, and the mastering plugin also has a perpetual licence option. A free account or temporary trial does not provide the full Studio subscription.
