SoundBridge

SoundBridge is a desktop DAW for Windows and macOS. It records and edits audio, sequences MIDI, and mixes both in the same project. Third-party VST2 and VST3 plugins are supported. Audio runs through ASIO on Windows and Core Audio on Mac.

The sequencer handles audio and MIDI tracks, automation, comping, nested groups, sidechains, and flexible signal routing. Audio editing is non-destructive. The editor provides fades, gain controls, zplane Elastique time-stretching, and aufTAKT beat detection. The built-in effects cover mixing staples such as EQ, compression, gating, delay, modulation, reverb, limiting, and filtering. Premium users also get a 64-slot sampler with layering, envelopes, slicing, and round-robin playback.

The free tier stops at 10 tracks. It still uses the same 192 kHz audio engine, but the sampler and Virtual Collaboration features are excluded. Projects above the 10-track limit cannot be saved. Paid versions remove the restriction and are available through subscriptions or a lifetime licence.

Virtual Collaboration is currently in public beta. It connects remote SoundBridge sessions for recording and production work, using latency compensation and pre-record buffering to keep recordings aligned. Collaboration includes an integrated webcam and talkback, remote control of DAW and plugin settings, and lossless transfer of recorded files or timeline blocks. Lifetime licence holders can host their own Linux and CoTURN relay servers instead of paying for the hosted relay service. SoundBridge also includes a video engine for scoring and post-production, with support for AVC, HEVC, and VVC video. Frame-accurate scrubbing and per-track Linear Time Mode help lock sound effects to picture. Minimum requirements include Windows 10 or 11, or macOS Sonoma 14, 8 GB of RAM, 2 GB of storage, and an internet connection for authorisation. Linux is not listed as a supported DAW platform.
